Black History Month

February 01, 2010

On February 23, 2010:

Come explore the heritage of Black Torontonians through their experiences in historic Toronto and though Toronto’s early Black press. Co-hosted by the Ontario Federation of Labour, SEIU Local 1 Canada and the Ontario NDP, this exhibit created by the City of Toronto Culture Division takes visitors through decades of community and cultural development from African-Americans escaping the bonds of slavery to new Canadians arriving from other far away places.
